The states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have recently faced an unprecedented calamity. While monsoon floods are not uncommon in our region, this year's floods have reached a severity not seen in over 80 years. Within just two hours, the relentless waters swept through towns and cities, leaving a path of destruction in their wake.

This catastrophic event has claimed the lives of 85 people and displaced thousands more. Homes that once provided shelter and comfort to middle-class families were submerged for three to five days, leaving behind nothing but mud-soaked ruins.

Over 60,000 people have been affected by this disaster, left with no food, no water, no clothing, and no hope. In this time of desperation, our communities are struggling to survive, facing the additional threat of sickness and the potential for contagious diseases in the aftermath.
