A Bag of Rice: A Christmas Gift That Transformed a Family A widow named Meena with her three young children lives in a small village called kukunur. Meena’s husband had passed away unexpectedly a few years earlier, leaving her to provide for her family alone. Every day was a struggle. Meena worked tirelessly as a daily laborer, earning just enough to scrape together one meal for her children. Despite her efforts, hunger was a constant companion in their home, and the approaching Christmas season only made their situation harder. On Christmas Eve 2023, while many families prepared feasts and celebrations, Meena’s house was quiet. The children sat in the dim light, trying to stifle their hunger with sips of water. Meena looked at their tired faces, her heart heavy with sadness and worry. She whispered a prayer, asking God for a miracle—not for herself but for her children. The next morning, Meena heard voices outside her home. Curious, she opened the door and saw a group of people with warm smiles carrying bags of rice and other supplies. Especially as native missionaries are sharing the gospel in rice fields, fishing lakes, workspaces, and outdoors, oftentimes it is hard to reach out with their voice. Not many people are able to hear them and understand what they are talking about. These hand mikes will help missionaries to reach out more people with good news. As most of our native missionaries are sharing good news outdoors, these hand mikes can powerful tool to reach many. 2. Motor Bikes: Motorbikes are powerful tools to carry the gospel to many villages. As missionaries travel to several villages to pray for the sick and encourage the body of Christ motorbikes are very helpful for traveling quickly and safely even where there are no roads. The Eternal Fruit of Kingdom Work Donate Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Grace and peace to you in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I write to you today with a heart full of gratitude and awe for what the Lord is doing on the mission field. His hand is moving mightily, and lives are being transformed for His glory. Recently, I had the incredible privilege of traveling to India to visit and serve among our mission teams. By God’s grace, we were able to reach over 25,000 souls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ—through revival gatherings, church meetings, and village outreaches. We witnessed hundreds give their lives to Jesus, and many followed Him in water baptism. The Spirit of God is at work—even in the face of intense persecution and great challenges. He is building His Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Every soul reached… every hand lifted in worship… every life changed… is fruit that you are a part of—through your faithful prayers, encouragement, and generosity. Thank you for standing with us. And it is the widow who carries blame and shame because of this. In her time of need, she is often declared cursed and is rejected by her neighbors, community, and even her own family. She now bears the sole responsibility of providing for any children she may have. Many other mothers find themselves suddenly alone as well, but not because of death. A husband may vanish without warning because he’s discontent with the family’s financial condition or with his wife. Now she’s left in poverty to care for their children alone. Currently, these women are typically daily wage laborers the very group hit hardest by the government shutdown recently instituted to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus. Already struggling to feed their families with their meager earnings, they were suddenly unable to work.
